Keep: Inner-Sanctum, i.e. The Keep. The most-protected structure within a castle.
What do we choose to keep? Do we hold onto certain things out of love, remorse or contempt for now-departed people; once so integral to our lives?
This is a show about love, loss and how we choose to hold onto or retain these emotions in our relationships; specifically related to our fathers.
These works are the Keep of our now adult emotional representations of childhood. They stand as testaments of moments, sentiments, objects and triggers which have remained in place long after our fathers have gone; deceased or otherwise inaccessible to us in time and space.
Our artworks are also a reaction to and or representations of the catharsis achieved in response to the loss and permanent absence of a Father's love, concern and devotion.
