Submission Guidelines

Art in House is your neighbourly platform for contemporary art. Our main objective is to support artists of all skill levels, by providing an exhibition venue that seeks to connect artists with the members of our community. Together, we are going to look for ways to engage our community with your art work, over the course of your exhibition. 

We are delighted to accept exhibition proposals from artists, duos, and artist collectives working in all media for three to four week exhibitions in our main gallery. If selected for an exhibition, there is a small rental fee of $250, but the House will never take any commission on works sold. Additionally, as a service to you, we will take care of the invitations, as well as the food for the opening reception of your exhibition.

All submissions must be electronic in form, sent by e-mail to contact@artinhouse.org, and in that email it would be great if you could include: 

  1. 6 to 10 images of current work or work intended for exhibition. (it would be helpful if the titles of the image file matched the title of the artwork, otherwise, include a numbered image list).  
  2. A brief artist statement and/or short bio. 
  3. The preferred start date for your exhibition (the date will largely depend on our current gallery schedule).
